Post-Digital Laboratory 2017
The Red House - Center for Culture and Debate

What will you learn?
In this workshop we will look at various approaches for working with video in a spatial context, be it
video installation, videomapping, stage, theatre
or live performance.

The workshop will combine discussing existing work, looking at various hardware and software tools, as well as hands on experiments with projectors.

The main tool for the workshop will be VPT (VideoProjectionTools), a free software for Mac and Windows for working with video in a realtime spatial environments, but people are welcome to use the tools they are already familiar with.

There will also be opportunities for discussing

HC Gilje
HC Gilje is a Norwegian artist who, in his work explores how audiovisual technology can be used to transform, create, expand, amplify and interpret physical spaces.

Since 2006, he has been working on his larger scale project called Conversations with Spaces. This project explores, mainly through large-scale installations, perception of change and transformation in the meeting between the ephemeral media of light, projection, sound and motion with physical structures.
